Merry Christmas!

I was very blessed this Christmas season! I got to experience Christmas through the eyes of my 7 and 3 year old girls! This was wonderful, aboslutely wonderful! I have, of course, experienced Christmas with my children before but for some reason this Christmas was very special to me. I experienced their expressions and their excitement and their absolute love for the holiday. Christmas eve we spent most of the day driving back from Michigan but that evening they made snacks and cookies for our neighbors and Santa Claus. Christmas morning Deborah and I had to wake up the two girls and then the wrapping paper flew as the tore into the plethura of presents that Santa brought. One tradition that I hope that we can keep is that on Christmas eve I read the story of the birth of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ from the Bible. To everyone who may read this I throughly enjoyed this Christmas season and I hope to be able to have many more like it. Love to you all!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

People are just troubled!!!

I should reword that to some people are troubled!!! Anyhow I don't know if any of you have seen the news about "baby Grace" but it really troubled me. I made me think about the safety of my own children. It is absolutely horrible what happen to this beautiful baby girl. She was tortured and then killed by two freaks that called themselves parents. It also turns out that the baby was from Ohio and named Riley. When I saw the picture of this little precious girl it reminded me so much of my youngest daughter. I was enraged but realized that nothing could be done and that God would judge these people that caused this innocent little child such pain and greif. That at least gives me some peace knowing that God is a just God and he will take care of them in a way that is just and good. This poor child was only 2 years old and her life was taken from her. Some people are just troubled and need help. In this case they just need to die. They were fully aware of what they were doing (the killer parents) and they feel little remorse according to the news articles that I have read about it. I have faith in God that he will take care of them in his own way, it is the earthly justice system that I am nervous about. If you have children especially young ones give them a big hug and kiss and let them know that you love them, especially when they need you to love them. Remember how you feel when you hug and kiss them at this moment. Remember that when they are misbehaving and you feel like you are about to lose it. Just love these little, precious souls and prey for their safety!!!

"Eternal Prospective Brother"

The title to this post is a direct quote from one of my close friends and fellow church goer. Let me explain. Yesterday at church my oldest daughter was throwing a fit about something or the other and I was getting very frusturated. As we continued to struggle with each other (my daughter and I) I heard from my friend "Eternal Prospective Brother" and it made me stop and think. Is the behavior that I was exhibiting really important in the eternal prospective of things? The answer was absolutely I was exhibiting very un-Christ like behavior and later apologized to my daughter about the way I behaved (and consequently repented also) As I left church I thanked my friend for reminding me of "eternal prospective" and he replied that we all need reminders from time to time. So at any rate it got me to thinking and I realized that a lot of the behaviors that I have are not eternal in prospective and I decided to make a conscience effort to be more Christlike in my behavior. So whenever you feel like your behavior is going in an uneternal prospective PLEASE remember the quote from my friend "Eternal Prospective Brother" and let it impact your heart and soul like it did mine. Have a great day!

Something that makes me mad!!!

Please don't think that I am a ranting type of person (even though you couldn't tell by this post) but, this is something that is very close to my heart. My religion! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (alias the Mormons) and something that I have noticed is every time there is a major gathering of the church there are protestors. I realize that people have freedom of speech and RELIGION in this country and that is one of the things that makes this country great! Then why is it that people find a need to protest every major gathering of our church! I am just curious and a little angry about it! I am happy in my religion as I bet these people are too so leave us alone and let us worship how we want to. You don't see LDS people going around protesting the catholic or methodist churches (I am not implying that they protest us it is just the first churches that came across my mind). I guess I just want someone to answer me and not flame me in this post. I am looking for a definitive answer not just "your a mormon dog" or "your a crazy mormon" type answer. I will set things straight if there is any misinformation about the LDS church (believe me there is a lot of it on the web). I will be glad to answer questions and queries if they are genuine. I am just curious why other people feel the need to protest my beliefs. Let me know what you think!!!
